Dr Richard Collings (Phd, MSc, BSc Hons)
Rich has been working in the NHS as MSK lead podiatrist for the last 15 years. He specialises in treating all types of foot and ankle pain and has a passion for biomechanics. He gained his MSc in Clinical biomechanics in 2014 and in 2022 completed his PhD in optimising insoles to reduce foot ulceration in the diabetic population. Rich combines his clinical work with research, and loves to share his knowledge and enthusiasm. Rich is Head of Podiatry and Orthotics (interim), South West AHP NIHR/CAHPR research champion, Honorary Clinical Fellow – University of Plymouth & Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
Sean Ellin (MSc, BSc Hons)
I have worked in the NHS for 13 years and specialise in biomechanics and offloading the diabetic foot. I gained my MSc in Clinical Biomechanics in 2020 and I have further master’s level qualifications in corticosteroid injection therapy, foot and ankle ultrasound and advanced clinical assessment. I have always had a keen interest in biomechanics and enjoy sharing this passion with others, where I have experience in teaching colleagues, students and staff across professions
